It is also registered under Foreign Contribution Regulation Act of Central Government. An elected managing committee having 5 members regulates the activities of SOSOD. The head office of SOSOD is located at Nagercoil the capital of Kanyakumari district of Tamilnadu state, India-and it has an field office at levenjipuram of Tirunelveli district.
